Carla has used her leadership platform to make a lasting difference in the community. As Co-President of the Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament, she honors her late father’s legacy by raising vital funds for brain cancer research. Since its inception, the event has contributed more than $2 million to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Center for Neuro-Oncology. Each year, the tournament brings together local businesses, community members, and supporters who share in the mission to fund critical research and honor the memory of Tom Cosenzi.
The Cosenzi family also continues to invest in the future through the Tom Cosenzi Scholarship Fund. Established to support local high school seniors pursuing higher education, the fund celebrates the values of hard work, perseverance, and community that Tom Cosenzi embodied. By helping students achieve their educational goals, the scholarship ensures his legacy continues to inspire the next generation of leaders.
Beyond these two major initiatives, the Cosenzi family’s commitment to giving back extends far and wide. Through Carla’s signature program, Carla Cares, the TommyCar Auto Group supports a wide range of local charities, schools, and organizations — with over $4 million given back to the community and counting. When Carla stepped into the automotive industry, she recognized its long-standing reputation as a male-dominated field — and she set out to change that. Determined to open doors for other women, she built a leadership team where over 40% of the team members are women in non-traditional roles, from management and finance to service and sales.
